The "First Snow" brings with it the reality of winter.  Wear a hat while walking in the forest now, as the heavy drips from the overhead tree branches are "cold" when they land.  Everything smells fresh and footsteps on the wet forest floor are quiet, after the long hot summer with not enough rain.  The forest relaxes, sheds it leaves, and braces for the bitter cold and dormant months.  The animals prepare for the coming harshness with thicker coats, and follow their instincts to find food.  Inspired by my hand painted watercolor painting.  All paintings arrive with temporary matting and stock frames, to protect them during shipping.
